In Sense & Sensibility by Jane Austen, the characters have an English Tea & Reading. My older sister, a big fan, decided that we should try to do one! Today we read My Kid's Dog by Ron Hansen & started the beginning of Dracula.
It wasn't exactly like old English times mainly because the tea I drank was made in my Keurig.
Oops.
It doesn't have to be anything fancy. We just took some of our family's fine china cups & some paper napkins just in case we spilled.
It was really fun to have a mini tea party while reading some great pieces of literature. So go & try it!
